The Chinese Catholic Community Brisbane would like to acknowledge the Turrbal and Jagera people as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we meet today in Brisbane, Meanjin. We acknowledge and recognise their connections to this land, waters, and community. We pay our respect to their Elders past, present, and emerging, and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.

Fourth and Fifth Sunday: Mandarin

Community Pastoral Council Discernment Meeting: This Sunday, 1 March, during Mass, we will present an overview of the purpose and role of the Community Pastoral Council within our community. A representative from the Archdiocese, Teresa McGrath, will be present to provide further explanation. Nomination forms will also be distributed on that day. After lunch at 1:00 pm, we will continue with a “Pastoral Council Q&A Session” to help everyone better understand the details of the Council. We strongly encourage all members to attend and participate in this important matter for our community. Please note that the remaining process for establishing the Community Pastoral Council is as follows:

Nomination by community members (1 March to 27 March)
Review and consolidation of nominations (28 March to 4 April)
Notification and preparation for the spiritual discernment meeting for nominees (5 April to 11 April)
