The new Community Pastoral Council members were announced and appointed by Fr. John Lai. The eight appointed members are: Chairman – Paul Wong; Secretary – Catherine Cheung; and Council Members – Audrey Lin, Ben Leung, Hellene Yiu, Isabella Lee, Paul Chu, and Philip Fu. All members received the Rite of Commissioning during the Mass, and the first meeting as an inaugural meeting was held after Mass. Please keep the newly appointed members of the Community Pastoral Council in your prayers.

Celebration of the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus: Friday, 12 June, is the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, our Patronal Feast Day. Let us come together in joyful celebration! A weekday Mass will be celebrated at 8:00am, followed by light refreshments, prepared by Annie. At 4:00pm, Gigi will lead a cookie-making activity at Sacred Heart Centre to prepare cookies for the homeless. The cookies will be donated to the Missionaries of Charity Sisters and distributed to those in need. Everyone is warmly welcome to join this meaningful activity of love and service.

Then on Sunday, 14 June, we will celebrate the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Fr John warmly invites everyone to stay for lunch after Mass. James will be preparing BBQ sausages, and Raymund will serve freshly brewed coffee on site. In addition, Fr John will distribute special homemade cookies lovingly prepared by Karen and Regina after Mass. There will also be some light and fun games arranged in the afternoon for everyone to enjoy together. All are welcome to participate!
