Regarding new Appointments and
re-appointments of CCCB small groups
To assist me in providing various needs and services to the people of CCCB, I today to appoint and to re-appoint the following people with different roles, effective from Sunday April 21, 2024:
New appointments :
– VERONICA NG: Master co-ordinator of CCCB liturgies who co-odinates with other co-ordinators (choir, musicians, multi-lingual readers & commentators, ministers for Holy Communion, altar servers, flower arrangers, collectors etc…) to arrange people and things needed for CCCB liturgies, including regular Sunday, weekday Mass and CCCB special, occasion CCCB liturgies, feasts, pilgrimages…
– Sr. ROSE YU: Main co-ordinator of PASTORAL CARE to the SICK & ELDERLY group, with Fr. John, IRENE Pau, MATILDA Loo Bun, CARMAN Leung, CONNIE Leung, AGNES Leung, LUCIA LOI, ROSA Wu, JOHN Au, BOSCO Ng, WING Tang . . . to visit / to bring Communion to the elderly, the sick in their homes or in hospitals.
– JULIE QUANG: the contact person & liaison between CCCB and PNG group. Julie continues to keep an eye in our kitchen’s basic needs & supplies used by CCCB.
– AMY LI & JOSEPHINE Man; JESSIE WANG, NICOLE LIN & ROSA WU : trainers and instructors to our multi-lingual readers – how to read and to proclaim Sacred Texts properly in public. GiGi Tung is to cordinate the training sessions for different multilingual readers..
– ROBERT KWOK: Safeguarding officer specifically for our children.
Re-appointments：
– TERESA CHAN: continues to co-ordinate & to conduct CCCB multi-lingual choir for liturgies with THOMAS LI & JOSEPHINE Man as assistants and as soloists if necessary.
– KATHY CHAN, JOANNE FUNG, LORRAINE FUNG and SHANNON WONG: continue to be our musicians/organists who are integrated parts of choir. Kathy Chan as co-ordinator.
– PAUL CHAN & JOHN POON & RAYMOND Law, Raymund Li: continue to be audio system set up assistants to choir.
– GIGI TUNG: continues co-ordinating multi-lingual readers and commentators for liturgies.
– PHILIP FU: continues to be co-ordinator & contact person of Altar Servers Group with ALFRED YEUNG & DAVID CHEUNG are trainers to altar servers.
– PAUL CHU – ISABELLA LEE – LUCIA LOI – DENISE CHAO – BOSCO NG: continues to be catechists for adult and children.
– JOANNE FUNG & ROBERT KWOK: Activities supervisors and Safeguarding officers for altar servers.
– PAUL CHAN / JOHN POON / RAYMOND law / Raymund Li: continue to operate, to control CCCB visual audio, livestream systems & advisors when needed.
– LUCIA LOI: continues to be contact person & liaison between CCCB and Mandarin speaking group.
– KAREN CHIU: continues the appointed term of co-ordinator/leader of the ministers of Holy Communion group.
– PAUL CHU: continues to co-ordinate the contents projected on screen & operating overhead projector.
– ANNIE LIN: continues co-ordinating flowers arranging in chapel and in hall with MARY TANG, ANNA CHEN, CARMAN LEUNG, JULIE QUANG, CECILIA LOW are assistants on different occasions.
– KATHY CHAN, JOANNE FUNG, REGINA WONG, LORRAINE FUNG, SHANICE YIU: Youth – Children Group with Hellene Yiu, Yoyo and others as assistants. Kathy Chan is group’s main co-ordinator with Hellene Yiu as assistant. Note: In a near future, your group will take care of Sunday School and Religious Education for CCCB children.
Fr. John’s advice:
– Considering all CCCB people are integrated members of CCCB Family, we have one another, we need one another and all have different talents given by God to mutually share with another, therefore, I encourage everyone to take the initiatives: do whatever you can, you should and you have to, as your duty, as your contribution and as your self-offering to the community. There is no need to wait for order or appointment for everyone.
– I acknowledge and affirm that there are many other existing small groups in CCCB, for example: Rosary Group (Cantonese and Mandarin); Extraordinary Ministers for Holy Communion; Pastoral Care for Family (Family Formation Group); Mothers Prayer Group (Mandarin); Sunday School; Bible Sharing; Choir Singing Practice; Altar Servers Activities; Weekday Mass Readers; Community Yumcha; Community Night etc… Leaders, coordinators of these groups, please continue conducting your activities in your group as usual.
